Cinemania: A Timeless Exhibition

Hand-painted reproductions of vintage movie posters from the 60s and digital interpretations of classic film images will enlighten you on the 13th June until the 31st July at Darb 1718 as they kick off their much-anticipated Cinemania exhibition. Take walk through the golden period as artists showcase their own contemporary interpretations of classic Egyptian movies experimenting with different mediums whether it’s photography, digital art, acrylics...the art world is their oyster.

The most beautiful actresses from Soad Hosni to Hend Rostom to Tahia Karioka to Shadia are bound to make an appearance as a slew of artists present their re-imagination of the glory days. The exhibition therefore finds a new method of celebrating the period of good films and glamorous production by cultivating a new way of analysis.

An array of artists will be participating in the exhibition including Fajr Soliman, Heba Abo Hmela, Noura Selim and many more.
