Flash Mob Startles Cairo Metro Commuters with Indian Folk Dance

In an initiative commemorating 70 years of Indian independence, the Indian Embassy in Cairo launched on Wednesday a 2-month campaign promoting Indian culture, monuments, and festivals. The campaign consists of a series of Indian folk performances and visually stunning artwork on a Cairo metro train covering 35 stations. The campaign was officially launched with an Indian dance performance in Sadat Metro station yesterday, Al Ahram reports. The campaign will be featuring two initiatives previously launched by the Indian government; Incredible India, an international marketing campaign promoting tourism in India and Make in India, an initiative to encourage multi-national and Indian companies to invest in the country.“This will be first time ever for the metro to feature a country-based campaign signifying the importance of Indian-Egyptian relations, as India celebrates 70 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Egypt,” the Indian Embassy stated to Al Ahram.
