One of the AUC's campus groups is getting together with Omar Khairat for a benefit concerts for which the proceeds will go towards paying off debts held by those imprisoned.
The American University in Cairo (AUC) continues to give the country its finest leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, and now an AUC community service student group is giving society’s neediest a fighting chance.
AUC’s Hand in Hand club and legendary Egyptian musician Omar Khairat are teaming up for L’Orchestre de Bonté, which will see the virtuoso perform at the university’s amphitheatre on April 15th. The proceeds of the concert will go towards those who are imprisoned and accumulating debt with the aim of helping alleviate their growing financial nightmare. Loving humans and lighting candles for their welfare is not enough to make a difference in their lives. Everyone deserves a second chance which will only if you go the distance, which has just been made easier because you get to do it while listening to Khairat’s musical gems.
