In the opening of the forum, an awards ceremony for this year’s winning submissions took place early this morning. The competition categories include best idea, best design, best music, best scenario, best animation, best scenography, and Oscars of the forum. According to Albawaba News, a EGP 50,000 grant will also be awarded to one of the competitors to support future art and animation experiments.

CIAF will be held at the Talaat Harb Cultural Centre. Film screenings, small competitions, as well as an animated films market will take place over the course of the forum, which aim to facilitate the exchange between animation artists and producers.
