Two policemen and a civilian passerby were injured when a bomb exploded in the Dokki district of Giza this morning. The bomb went off at approximately 7:15 AM near a security checkpoint in Al-Galaa Square. The wounded, one of whom is presumed dead, were transferred to a nearby hospital and police have cordoned off the area while explosive experts search for any further devices.
A suspect has been arrested after a car reportedly followed him. This is just the latest in a series of bomb attacks throughout Cairo since former President Morsi was ousted, all of which have mainly targeted the police and army.
