Egypt’s population continues to grow exponentially as Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced in a statement that they expect Egypt’s worldwide population to reach 100 million on Thursday.

Once again Egypt’s population is booming, with CAPMAS reporting that in the last six months alone another million Egyptians were born, bringing the population in Egypt to 92 million and 100 million worldwide. The faster and larger the population grows, the more difficult it will be to fix the myriad of problems affecting the nation. According to the statement released, “The ongoing population growth rates significantly limits the efforts to achieve tangible progress in living standards."

Since 2006, Egypt’s population has ballooned by 17.3 million people and is showing no signs of slowing down, which will continue to plague the country from introducing reforms that will improve the lives of the masses.
