Football fans were surprised to find a Facebook post offering Wadi Degla Sporting Club and Egypt National Team goalkeeper Essam El Hadary for sale. The chairman of Wadi Degla, Magdy Samy, published the post after an altercation taking place during training between El Hadary and Wadi Degla's second goalie, Khalid Walid, caused quite the media stir.

It was reported that El Hadary physically attacked Walid; other reports also cite a verbal attack from El Hadary against Wadi Degla squad manager, Ahmed Hossam, better known as Mido.

In another post by the club's chairman, Maged Samy, commented that, "I don't intend to harm El-Hadary as he is my friend until the end. I am trying to help him find a regular post, to continue helping Egypt's national team regardless of what happened!"

El Hadary was dismissed from attending the club's match with Al-Ahly on the following day, which Wadi Degla lost 0 - 1, and with this post looks like he will be leaving Wadi Degla altogether.

This is not the first time El Hadary's behaviour makes headlines. In 2008, while playing for Al Ahly, he went on a media rampage, bad-mouthing several key figures in the club in attempt to defend himself after walking out mid-season to play for Switzerland's FC Sion - resulting in FIFA banning El Hadary from playing for 4 months.
