Saudi Arabian Cleric Claims Iranians Are 'Not Muslim'

Instead of trying to unify all Muslims this Eid news is spreading virally that Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Abdulaziz Al Sheikh has allegedly claimed that Shiites are "not Muslims."

The harmful remarks come in retaliation of statements made by Iran’s supreme leader alleging that Saudi authorities had "murdered" Muslim pilgrims during last year’s hajj pilgrimage.

Talking with a Makkah newspaper, Grand Mufti Abdulaziz Al Sheikh explained that Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei’s accusations are "not surprising" claiming that Iranians are descendants of Zoroastrians and therefore "not Muslim."

According to the Associated Press, the 2015 hajj pilgrimage resulted in at least 2,426 people's deaths with 464 of the victims being Iranian.
