3-Day Nationwide School Break Starting March 26th
No exceptions.
Mar 07,2018
It has been announced on Tuesday that schools in Egypt will be taking a three-day holiday as Egypt's presidential elections take off on March 26th until the 28th, according to Al Ahram Online.
Due to public schools being the hosts for the national elections' polling in Egypt, the Minister of Education, Tarek Shawky, has approved the three-day holiday. This comes as an effort to ensure a smooth voting process.
As of February, the final candidates, as approved by Egypt's National Elections Authority (NEA) are President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and head of Ghad Party, Moussa Mostafa Moussa. The winning candidate will be announced on April 2nd, given no run offs occur.
