The three-year programme is the first Dubai Cares initiative of its kind in Egypt.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives has just launched their seven million dirhams Dubai Cares programme in Egypt to enhance female education and create a new generation of women leaders in the country. Titled Ensuring Supportive and Safe Quality Education for Girls in Egypt, it marks Dubai’s very first involvement in such an issue in Egypt.

The programme will work to foster inclusivity and empowerment within a school environment, develop teaching methods in school curriculums, improve the standard of education for at least 15,000 students, oversee adequate extracurricular activities, and ensure safe learning environments for girls throughout Assiut, Beni Sueif, and Minya. Dubai Cares hopes for young women to be able to recognise their full potential in what sometimes can be a country dominated by the male voice.
