As the Cairo Jazz Festival takes over the capital, three more chances to hear global sounds present themselves at Cairo Jazz Club this October 15, 17 and 18.

Cairo's most consistent venue Cairo Jazz Club is back at it again this week, with the Cairo Jazz Festival Beyond Stage acts hitting the veritable home of World Music in the city. With bands coming from France, Morocco, Italy, Austria and Egypt their three nights will add a much needed nightlife twist on the festival, delivering jazz aficionados the music they desire and the atmosphere that elevates it this October 15th, 17th and 18th.

Wednesday October 15th will see the Egyptian Jazz saxophone sensation Nour Ashour hit the stage with his passionate sounds. Accompanying Nour will be Morocco's top Bob Marley tribute act, Bob Maghrib, exchanging conventional instruments used in reggae with instruments traditional to the African, Andalusian and Arabic sounds from the Moroccan region. Saturday 17th October will be the day the festival returns to the CJC with an awesome line up including Cairo-based Tom Waits tribute band, Raindogs, who are committed to sharing the Waits experimental Rock, Blues and Jazz experience. Following them will be Austrian artist Nobert Schneider whose vocal cords cover three octaves and, with his semi-acoustic Gibson guitar, bridges a range of musical genres from Blues, Soul and Pop. This is definitely one for the books, so get your reservation and keep your eyes on the event here.

And last but not least, Sunday October 18th event boasts not one, but two European delights. First up are the enigmatic Italian couple, the Marcolia Duo, followed by the French fusion masters L'Hijaz Car who masterfully cross back and forth between the borders of the Mediterranean to present their raw compositions with Western lyricism and modern twists. And the event page can be found here.

So get in on the fun and don't let this once in a life time musical experience slip through the cracks.
