Dancestock: Midweek Madness

The sexy people of Cairo invaded the Cairo Jazz Club stage on Wednesday night for a midweek feast of sick House beats. As a Dancestock virgin, I had heard great things, but I wanted to see it, to hear things for myself, even if it that meant going out on a school night and regretting it the next day at work.

Our favourite duo, DJs Aguizi & Fahim got proceedings underway with a varied selection that turned the crowd into an army of anime robots dancing in unison to their melodic House music. It was crazy - the best kind of crazy.

And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, House master DBMM takes over the stage and whips the crowd into a frenzy with a euphoric mix that got everybody not fifty, but a hundred shades of cray cray.  The Swiss-man certainly didn't disappoint. He kept the party going until far too late, and by too late we mean TOO LATE. In short, Dancestock provided a solid start to the weekend, some quality House tracks and, most of all, a shitload of fun. Next week, it's DJ Ramy's turn to represent Egyptian talent before Chris Jylkke flies in from Sweden to give us a taste of the superb Scandanavian music scene.
