Eastern Company Raises Cigarette Prices by Seven Egyptian Pounds

Egypt’s tobacco giant Eastern Company has recently increased the prices of its cigarette packs by seven Egyptian pounds. The cost of Cleopatra and Mondial cigarette packs have risen to EGP 27 per pack, while Viceroy and Pall Mall packs will now be priced at EGP 42.

The Egyptian tobacco market has seen a significant surge in prices, primarily due to the ongoing foreign currency crisis. In April 2023, American Tobacco company, Philip Morris, raised the prices of its cigarettes and heated tobacco products in Egypt to a range of EGP39 to EGP 59 per pack.
