Egypt's First Judicial Historical Documentary Book Will Be Published

Egypt's Prosecutor General, Hamada Al-Sawy, has ordered the release of a judicial documentary book - the first of its kind in the history of the Egyptian judiciary - chronicling the prominent works and pleadings of the Public Prosecution from 2019 to 2023.

Representing four years of the Egyptian judiciary's history, the book encompasses data on high-profile incidents, the actions taken by the Public Prosecution, and directives provided to public and private institutions. It also includes pleadings, rulings, and the prosecution's significant undertakings during that period.

“The book serves as a gift to the Egyptian state, institutions, and society, contributing to the construction of a new republic in the justice sector. It aims to promote justice, transparency, and public awareness by documenting and addressing crimes, alerting families and victims, and deterring offenders,” read the Public Prosecution Office’s official statement.

This historical documentation sets a precedent for future generations and provides researchers with valuable insights for social system development. Furthermore, it serves as a guide for judicial practitioners, emphasising the importance of sound legal language.
