Egypt to Remove Extremist Books From Mosque Libraries
The Ministry of Endowment will be thoroughly checking books, CDs and any other mediums found in mosques and their libraries.

With the war against terrorism in Egypt continues as Minister of Endowment Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa announced that a new order to remove of any kind of material (books/CDs/cassettes) that 'fuel violence' and radicalism from mosque libraries, Al-Ahram Online reported.
The ministry now investigates libraries' content by requiring each mosque to produce a list of their materials to ensure it falls under the rules set, Gomaa said. While the investigation continues, new material cannot be added without the consent of the ministry.
Unlicensed preachers, as well, are now at risk of imprisonment that could amount to a year.
