Reem Mousa, former El-Ahly basketball player, has just become the first Egyptian female to win a European championship, London-based Egyptian website KingFut reports.
The season is Mousa's first on a professional level. Her Czech team, KP Brono, came second in the Czech national league before winning the Central Europe Women Championship, in a first for the team.
Mousa, who holds dual Egyptian-American nationality, graduated from US's Rice University in 2015, after which she decided to professionally pursue her passion for basketball.
