Numerous Egyptian newspapers have reported that young football prodigy Ramadan Sobhi’s agent met with Al Ahly Chairman Mahmoud Taher to discuss the bid made last Saturday by Stoke City. Sobhi, age 19, has been a powerful asset for Al Ahly, and played an instrumental role in helping the Egyptian National Team qualify for the African Cup of Nations for the first time in over five years.
The English team, which finished ninth with 51 wins during last season’s Premier League, have been eying the young football prodigy, whose impressive footwork and stoppage-time goal pushed Egypt to a 1-1 draw with Nigeria last March.
