Supermarkets Required to Display Price Tags on Essential Commodities

During a ministerial meeting to discuss defining strategic goods and regulating their trading systems, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Ali Al-Moselhi stated that all points of sale are required to display the prices of commodities clearly, either on packaging, shelves, stickers or through announced price lists.

The selling price to the final consumer should be indicated on the invoice issued by the producing companies, importers, manufacturers, packagers and suppliers.

Furthermore, Al-Moselhi highlighted that while there is a maximum price set for the strategic commodities, companies have the flexibility to sell them at lower prices to promote competitiveness and increase the availability of goods.
