$200 Million Renewable Energy Factories to be Built in Egypt

In a spot of energetic news, companies from the UAE are planning to build $200 million factories for renewable energy supplies in 6 October City, according to Enterprise.

The industrial and real estate projects will be carried out by a number of unnamed UAE companies, as UAE investors are interested in building factories to produce and sell supplies for new and renewable energy projects in the region. They are estimated to be done by 2020.

This comes as no surprise, as the Egyptian government is investing heavily in renewable energy; the Ministry of Electricity will soon be inaugurating one of the world’s largest wind turbine farms, and also inaugurated a massive solar power plant in July with an estimated cost of EGP 3.25M.
