J.K.Rowling Speaks to Egyptian Writer
We love social media. It can start revolutions and, well, get us hugs from J.K.Rowling...

It seems that some young women in Egypt feel a little bit oppressed. We wonder why. Young Egyptian woman, Hagar ElSaed, tweeted the following to J.K Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series:
@jk_rowling You inspired me to write. However, in Egypt, girls can't do anything freely as boys. They laugh at me when I say I am a writer.

The gracious author of the internationally acclaimed masterpiece, responded by saying:
Don't you dare let their laughter extinguish your ambition. Turn it into fuel! Big hugs from one writer to another x https://t.co/w3lYXAosJj

What do we have to say to Hagar? You can do anything you want as freely as you want…limitations and laughter are abstract concepts you can walk through. You can also write for us!
