Arabic Emoji: When Words Aren't Enough

Sometimes all you want to send is belly dancer in a sea of red-dress-wearing salsa dancers. Check out our favourite Arab-inspired emojis by app developer Khaled Mokhtar.

Emojis have found themselves an irreplaceable spot in our hearts. Where words fail, little cartoon drawings succeed. *little dancing salsa lady* *balloon* *shocked face* *a poop* But sometimes - even with the newest multiracial emoji updates - they still don’t quite capture our unique Arab culture. Because instaed of a generic little yellow face blowing you a kiss, wouldn’t you rather Tutankhamun’s mask was blowing you a bosa? Yes you would and you know it.

You can now download your bro Tut and many, many more Arab-inspired emojis with a new app called Arabic Emojis! Hurrah! Created by Khaled Mokhtar and compatible with iOS, it will fulfill all your lifelong dreams of sending your friend a ra2asa or a Cleopatra betzaghrat.

You can download the app here or follow them on Instagram @arabicemoji.
