Egypt’s First Ever Virtual Reality Experience is Here

Ready to board onto a spaceship and fly into the realm of zero gravity outer space? But wait! You and your crew are under attack and your spaceship is crashing! You’ve only got one hour to figure out all the clues to save your ship. In Genesis’ expanding library of virtual reality games, Cosmos is their latest.

Genesis, Egypt’s virtual reality hub, was founded by passionate Egyptian university students Assem Adel, Bassem William, Mostafa Adel, and Tony Oncy. Coming to life this past September in New Cairo, Genesis is a manifestation of their efforts to bring the future of technology to Egypt.

“There’s no awareness in Egypt on this; people have never really experienced being fully immersed into a virtual reality,” says Adel. “It’s a technology that’ll do a lot to help us advance into the future, like creating virtual reality education classes that can aid medical school students on how to perform an actual surgery.”

Ahhh our nerdy selves are coming out. This whole new level of virtual reality gaming is a new global technology phenomenon and we’re ecstatic that it’s now in Egypt. Think you’re up for the challenge? Game on.
