Christian Louboutin and Elisa Sednaoui are Hosting an Epic Fundraising Event in Cairo Next Week!

Two of the best things to come out of France since baguettes are the man who brought the world those iconic red soles, Christian Louboutin, and the woman who went from model to tireless education advocate,  Elisa Sednaoui Dellal. The half-Egyptian half-French model and social entrepreneur, and the French designer, who has long harboured a passion for Egypt and owns a home in Luxor, are teaming up next week to throw an epic circus-themed fundraising event in Cairo, from which all the proceeds will go to the Elisa Sednaoui Foundation.

The foundation revolves around art education in Egypt and hinges on fostering creative learning opportunities and offering after school activities to youth in Egypt, a nation where art and creative education is sorely lacking and where the majority of Egyptian youth are often denied access to it altogether. In an effort to propel art education forward in Egypt after three years of investments made by the foundation, next Monday the 21st of November, the sartorial duo will be taking over one of the city's most stunning spots – Nineteen Twenty Five – for an al fresco affair organised by our very own MO4 Network. ON TV, Orascom, Al Ahram Beverages, yours truly, and our snap-happy sibling CairoZoom will be fuelling the fabulosity of the Life's a Circus dinner, where Cairo's crème de la crème are invited to get all decked out - possibly in those signature red soles - and enjoy a decadent night overflowing with magic, music, and awesome moments with the two icons, while actually doing some good and contributing to the future of Egypt.

The surreal circus spectacle is going all out; there will be an explosion of kaleidoscopic colour around you while you indulge in your gourmet wine and dine experience. Plus there's a crazy surprise lineup of local and international entertainment, but we exchanged our silence for a slice of pizza so we'll be keeping our lips sealed until the big reveal.

Renowned Egyptian actress Yosra will be a guest of honour at the gala and the night will include a raffle where not one, not two, but SEVENTY luxury prizes and goodies, will be up for grabs. You will not be walking away with a disappointing key chain because we all know what a painful moment that is; the raffle will have everything from stays at stunning hotels and Gucci bags, to Dior makeup and cashmere scarves from Burberry. Can we get a hallelujah? So if you were considering spending your next salary on that Gucci clutch, save it for pizza because you may very well be walking away from the epic night with it.

You can either buy an individual ticket or book a table for the whole haute squad by calling 01270676620 and because everything the French do is always perfectly on-point, so you can expect an evening that is more en vogue than your entire existence. Except escargots. We're still iffy about those.

Dress code is black tie with a circus twist - meaning you can finally wear that electric pink feather boa you bought because you were feeling particularly cool that day.
