October is Officially Our Favourite Netflix Month

With so many old and new additions to their already massive catalogue, we feel like a kid in a candy store, and it’s not even Halloween yet.

Some of us don’t have the luxury to travel for a dreamy mini-vacation every weekend, but our laptops and comfort-food have proved to be faithful companions for circumstances such as these. And just in time for Halloween times, Netflix just officially made October binge-watch month. We probably have sleepless nights ahead, especially with the many, many old, favourite thrillers and horror films recently added. But as for the new stuff, here's what we recommend from this October's newly added shows and films which are enough reason to ignore the weather and stay home.

Netflix Original Series

Stranger Things

The much anticipated season two of Stranger Things promises to be even more thrilling than season one. After following investigations of Will’s disappearance and his dramatic return, things can’t possibly be even more confusing in Hawkins, right? We think not.

MINDHUNTER

Based on Mark Olshaker and John E. Douglas’s novel of the same name, Elite Serial Crime Unit FBI agent, Holden Ford uses a unique profiling technique in his pursuit of notorious criminals.

Slasher: Guilt Party

Former counselors discover that the skeletons in their closet are not as well buried as they thought as they return to a remote Canadian summer camp which also happens to be a scene of a crime they have long committed.

Suburra

In this new series, a seaside Italian town is every gambler’s dream destination and also the place where a powerful family, the mafia and corrupt politicians are seeking to destroy each other.

Dynasty

Take a dip in the lives of the rich and famous in Aaron Spelling’s 1980s classic primetime soap opera. Two wealthy American families fight over control over their fortunes and the lives of their offspring. This is a reboot we cannot wait to sink our teeth into!

Chelsea

Chelsea Handler shows no signs of slowing down and is still at her best during the show’s second season with exciting guests, odd destinations and her usual sarcastic commentary on all things life.

Netflix Original Films

Wheelman

The getaway driver in robbery-gone-wrong tests his skills when he gets unexpected orders from an anonymous caller.

The Babysitter

A seemingly unassuming, hot babysitter turns out to be part of a satanic cult and catches Cole, the boy she’s babysitting snooping around. How is she going to keep him quiet?

1922

This psychological thriller revolves around a farmer who confesses to his wife's murder, and starts a guilt-driven series of acts.
