The Second Edition of El Gouna Beach Polo is Right Around the Corner

The TriFactory is Gearing Up for One of its Biggest Events of the Year

Athletes from across the globe are set to descend on Sahl Hasheesh for four days of races - and maybe a little beach-time too.

Marathons? Been there! Morning jogs? Done that! If you've completed every sports event in Cairo and you need a new challenge that involves pushing you beyond your limits and which combines fitness and travel, then we've got you covered.

The TriFactory's four-day Endurance Festival in Sahl Hasheesh guarantees a weekend full of sports, sports, and well...more sports! And as has been the case for so many of The TriFactory's unique events, athletes from all over Egypt and the region are expected to attend.

The event, which will take place between the 25th and 28th of April, will include six different races: the Supersprint (for the eager beginners), the middle-distance Sprint, the official Olympic distance (the main event), Aquathlon (swim-run race), the Youth Race (a shorter distance triathlon race for kids ages 8-12), and a 1K kids run for children aged 8 years and below. And for the first time, The TriFactory is introducing evening races along with a feature race ‘Tribal’, where 10 teams (2 males and 1 female from each team) will be competing against each other in a double-distance race.

The TriFactory, founded by Ayman Hakky and Mahmoud Abdelhakim, is an Egyptian sports management company specializing in triathlons, endurance sports, and mass participation sports events. In 2018 alone, they organized the Jungle Run in the Giza Zoo Run and the Aswan42 Marathon attended by Sir Magdi Yaacoub.

Now in its sixth iteration, 2014 saw the birth of the Sahl Hasheesh Triathlon, which quickly became the biggest of its events, with participants running the distance to both the Summer and Winter editions every year. Last year alone, there were over 1000 athletes from 30 different nationalities competing, along with a large group of spectators cheering them on.

The triathlon is an exciting opportunity that turns the international spotlight and attention onto Egypt, since a many of its participants come from all around the globe, including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, USA, Australia, Russia, Turkey, Czech Republic, South Africa, and many other countries. So, yeah - it's shaping up to be pretty special

You can find out more about the triathlon through the event or TriFactory’s website.
