We have a whole week of bedazzling folkloric performances ahead of us.
The 7th edition of the annual Drums Festival just kicked off in Cairo's historical Mo'ez Street this morning. With dance and drumming troupes representing over 22 countries the world over, this year's edition is the biggest yet, taking over Islamic Cairo and the Citadel with a number of folkloric, authentic performances. The event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, and is set to run until next Saturday with more public performances set to take the Opera House, Korba district, and Qubbet El Ghouri.
