The 'Hal Helalak' Ramadan shows and activities are catered for the whole family, including kids' paint workshops, light circus acts, and a performance of the classic puppet show 'El Leila El Kebira'.
Few things nail that Ramadan feeling like a puppet show after a traditional folk dance, punctuated by the sounds of horns and tablas. Cairo Opera House is bringing that feeling centre stage with the 5th edition of ‘Hal Helalak’, their annual showcase of Ramadan performances and events, bringing a little bit of everything for the whole family from circus shows like circus shows, kids’ painting workshops and a performance of the ever-classic ‘El Leila El Kebira’.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the annual event is open to the public and offers a range of affordable tickets. The programme will be held within strict safety measures in consideration of COVID-19, following standards set by both the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation.
