Egyptian superstars Cairokee are set to grab the title of 'Best Middle East Act', and compete for the coveted 'Best Worldwide Act' at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards.
Egyptian music megastars Cairokee have been nominated for Best Worldwide Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
The revolutionary act - famous for chart topping hits such as Ethbat Makanak and #andy Amal - are competing against five other acts from the region to scoop the title of 'Best Middle East Act.'
If they come out on top the guys will then go on to compete for the overall title of MTV's 'Best Worldwide Act' in November.
Speaking about the group's nomination, Cairokee manager Reem El Waziry claims the guys are over the moon.
She told Cairo Scene: "We are absolutely ecstatic. It's such a fantastic achievement, we're delighted.
"We knew about the nomination a few weeks back but even now it just doesn't seem real.
"We are competing against five other acts but we are the only Egyptian act to ever make it this far in the competition. Who knows, maybe we can go all the way."
