We've always looked back at our childhood memories and gotten creeped out by what were supposed to be cute, fluffy characters. One artist takes it to the next level...
A lot of these "kids" shows we used to watch when we were younger subconciously injected us with a lot of deep seeded anxiety issues, that we only discovered later in life, when watching stoned, thinking what the fuck; how is this for children?
Well, digital concept artist Dan LuVisi has taken things a step further imagining up a dark and twisted series of images depicting childhood heroes as demons and criminals. He told Huffpost “I was inspired by my childhood nostalgia, growing up on Disney and Nickelodeon cartoons. But what my intentions were to do, was combine that love with the dark underbelly of Hollywood and how it corrupts some of its many actors and actresses.”
The prints are being created in preparation for a book that will be released called Popped Culture.
