The second edition of the ‘Our Heritage’ or ’Torathena’ exhibition opened its doors yesterday on October 10th, gathering traditional arts and handicrafts from all corners of Egypt. The exhibition aims to provide a means of support for heritage industries and artisans, and promote Egyptian arts by making the products available at commercial prices.

The event has gathered 600 exhibitors from across the country - 100 more than last year’s event. Organized by government entity Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), the event has been made free to the public to encourage interest in the arts, and will run at the Egypt International Exhibition Center at New Cairo’s Fifth Settlement until October 15th.
