Paint the Town: Gouna Gets Graffitied

Aya Tarek, Ammar Abo Bakr and many more have been commissioned to literally cover the walls of Gouna with some truly trippy art. Check it out here!

The billionaire mastermind behind El Gouna, Samih Sawiris, is currently revamping the whole town in an ingenious way: he's just commissioned the uber-talented Aya Tarek and Ammar Abo Bakr and more international street-artists to paint murals throughout the town, along with various other muralists from Switzerland.

The move is set to completely overhaul El Gouna, completely making over the facade of the town, in particular the area Downtown and behind the Marina.

So far, there are only a couple of sneak peeks of the kind of work going on there, but what we can see is phenomenal.

It's a smart move, making the ecologically sustainable holiday town visually compelling too, and we can't wait to see it once it's finished.
