Militant group Boko Haram has declared a second Islamic caliphate in the Nigerian town of Gowza.
Nigerian terror nuts Boko Haram has declared the world's second Islamic "caliphate".
The move mirrors a similar stunt by the Islamic State terror group earlier this year.
In a chilling video message, Boko leader Abubakar Shekau announced the northeast Nigerian town of Gwoza as the world's latest terror hotbed.
In the 52 minute video rant he tells supporters, "Thanks be to Allah who gave victory to our brethren in Gwoza and made it part of the Islamic caliphate. By the grace of Allah we will not leave the town. We have come to stay."
He added that Gwoza is now "nothing to do with Nigeria."
The group previously hit the headlines over the kidnap of 200 school girls from a school in the conflict-ridden country.
The organisation has made worrying gains in recent months, sparking fears among the international community and local government groups.
