“The ongoing pandemic has highlighted how difficult it is to create meaningful professional connections,” said Co-Founder and CEO Sherif Bacheet. “With this pre-seed investment, we hope to launch our platform and enable the entire MENA to begin expanding their professional networks at unprecedented rates.”Egyptian networking startup Tays has raised a seven-figure pre-seed investment following its year-long development, funds which will enable it to start operations across Egypt and the MENA region.
The funds came from various angel investors including the Business Development Manager at Google Ireland, the CEO of Remax Middle East, the Founder and CEO of O7 Therapy, and the facility and Procurement Director at El Ahly Capital. Some of the investors have agreed to join Tays’ executive board.
The startup is essentially a professional user-to-user networking app which pairs up individuals based on their professional interests and goals, hoping to assist them in expanding and maintaining their networks on a professional level.
