The Ministry of Transportation has now announced that the LRT line will be officially ready for public use as of October 2021.
Maybe you've been waiting on news about the upcoming LRT line. Or maybe you're sick of waiting for metros in general and aren't about to do the same with news about them. After word came out that the new line will start undergoing test runs in August 2021, the Ministry of Transportation has now announced that the LRT line will be officially ready for public use as of October 2021.
The LRT line will be connected to the underground metro, the monorail and a number of other transportation links, and will run from the New Administrative Capital all the way to 10th of Ramadan city.
The National Tunnel Authority recently modified the project to add three new stops in the New Administrative Capital, including one in front of its Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, one in front of the Sports Complex and a third one by the military administrative building. Finally, a fourth stop in 10th of Ramadan was added, stretching the project’s length out from 68 KM to 84 KM, with a total of 15 stations.
