Thank you, Uncle Careem.
With the whole of El Gouna gripped with the festival fever with the arrival of this year's El-Gouna Film Festival, the Red Sea haven is basking in the glory of local, regional and international stars, industry figures and celebrities. It is, of course, also swimming in film fans and VIPs looking to take in some of the world's most acclaimed independent films and maybe even get a little glimpse of their acting idols.
But how do so many people get round? Goodquestion, sir. Worry not, because Careem captain are running through the town's nifty streets making sure everyone’s on time for their red carpet appearances, with the ride-sharing service zipping in, out and all around this most grand of glam-fests.
There's everything from tuk tuks, which you can order through their app, to 30 shuttle buses stationed in five locations throughout the artsy haven.
And, if a tuk tuk won’t cut it for your red-carpet arrival, they’re making golf-carts available on the festival’s opening and closing nights.
Uncle Careem’s out here looking out for you as you revel in festive glory, and watch the stars on the red carpet.
