ByGanz takes its tantalising party planning to Dubai, hosting what promises to be a wild evening of entertainment at the Address Montgomerie. We talk to the man himself to find out more...
If ever there was a city made for Ahmed Ganzoury, Dubai is it. The land of unadulterated glitz and glamour, of shameless extravagance and unabashed sparkle may have just met its match. On Saturday 14th December, ByGanz Events will be taking it signature day-to-night event, TeaDance, to The Address Montgomorie in Dubai.
It’s the first time the exclusive lounge – with its lush lakeside locale and old-world sensibility – has hosted a high-octane event of this nature. But TeaDance’s ironic take on the old-school tea party with its elbow-high gloved glamour, high-heels, and higher hair makes it the perfect party with which to shake things up bit.
That’s not to say the go-getting Ganz isn’t feeling a little anxious. “Look, I’ve done one-off events around the world,” he says. “But this is the first time I’m setting up shop somewhere and of course it’s a little scary. This is brand new territory. But we’re working with some of the best in the industry out there, and the support has been amazing. The promoters, designers and PR people have really made us feel at home and they’re able to realize the ByGanz vision in a way that has exceeded all our expectations.”
The Ganz gang in Dubai includes cool kids Creative Clinic who’ve been working on the outlandish setup and design for the event and PR gurus Copi, led by Rania Sadek, who’s been working her magic to ensure the city’s movers, shakers and media buzzing. Taking to the decks will be “Dubai’s own version of the Toy Boys” Lebanese duo Jixo & Danz, playing a deep and groovy house set as well as scintillating Spanish duo, Los Suruba.
Of course Dubai is hardly new to big, ballsy bashes, as Ganz points out, “what’s really going to set us apart are the themed parties, the meticulous attention to the guest list, and of course the unique ByGanz spirit.”
