Egypt to Close All Museums and Archaeological Sites

Egypt's prime minister just announced a closure on all museums and archaeological sites across the nation from March 22nd to March 31st.

Egypt’s prime minister just announced that the country’s museums and archaeological sites will all be closed to visitors from Monday 23rd March until 31st March.

During the closure, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities will be working closely with the Ministry of Health to sanitise and disinfect the areas to combat the spread of Coronavirus.

The newly-merged Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities will also use this time to train their staff on the measures they should take to protect themselves from the pandemic virus.
