Egypt to Inaugurate University & Hospital in Libya

Egypt has reaffirmed its commitment to Libya's recovery from its five-year long crisis by agreeing to build a new hospital and university there.

In the aftermath of the Libyan Crisis which had torn the nation apart from 2015 until October 2020, and following the formation of Libya's interim unity government in March 2021, Egypt has reaffirmed its commitment to Libya's recovery by agreeing to build a new hospital and university there. The decision was part of a wider series of actions to rebuild relations between Egypt and Libya, which includes the re-opening of Egypt's embassy and consulate in Libya after Eid al Fitr in mid-May, and the eventual resumption of direct flights between the two nations.
