After the success of Red Beats 2012, Electrum Records are on the search for the next big DJ.
After having introduced a handful of the most active DJs at the moment, Electrum Records are keeping themselves busy, keeping us busy and keeping the music scene moving forward. While we are still waiting for the official release of their first compilation, Project Mosaic, they have announced their second edition of RedBeats, their infamous DJ competition that brought DJs like Baher and Aroussi to the spotlight. And this year’s program is in every way bigger, better and more intense; an exotic honeymoon in Gouna for budding student DJs.
30 chosen applicants will be included in a 5-day intensive DJ boot camp in the otherwise chilled out seaside town. The programme will include valuable tips and insights by artists like Aly, Fila and Jamie Griffith, as well as kick-ass Electrum Records-branded freebies for the competitors. After an in-depth assessment, 12 hand-picked finalists will battle head-to-head every Thursday on the Fairmont Nile City rooftop, from May 10th until July 5th.
Think you’ve got what it takes to be the next big DJ? Anyone with an interest in electronic music is eligible for this contest and the deadline for applying is April 13th. You can enter by filling in the form here.
