Miss Eco International, an Egyptian beauty pageant inviting women from around the globe to compete to become a UN Goodwill Ambassador, is returning to Luxor from March 6th to March 14th.
Taking place at the Jolie Ville Hotel & Spa Kings Island, the pageant will see contestants tour between Luxor and Cairo’s most treasured archaeological sites throughout the course of the competition, with trips from the Temple of Hatshepsut and the newly reopened Avenue of Sphinxes, to the Pyramids of Giza and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
In deconstructing the boundaries of beauty pageants, Miss Eco International falls under the umbrella of the United Nations’ IISAM and ‘Let’s Take Care of the Planet’ projects, as well as the Egyptian Tourism Authority, to highlight our national heritage while bringing attention to the environmental crises that threaten our generation.
Some of the participating countries include Finland, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Canada, USA, England, Indonesia, the Philippines, Ethiopia, South Africa, Brazil, Venezuela, Tunisia, Egypt, Singapore, Japan, China, Vietnam, South Korea, and Italy.
