Mosque Madrassa of Sultan Barquq is Now Available to Tour Online

The site is the first Islamic era spot to join the list of the Ministry of Tourism's new virtual tours.

Mosque of Madrassa Khanqah

The newest addition to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ virtual tour series is none other than Mosque of Madrassa Khanqah of Al Zaher Barquq, a mosque complex in the historic district of old Cairo.

While the past two sites in the virtual series dig into some of Egypt’s ancient tombs, this site offers an exploration of the relatively recent Islamic era.

The series of virtual tours comes amid the Coronavirus outbreak, wherein the ministry launched this initiative to promote tourism and allow Egyptians and people around the world alike to immerse themselves in our country’s deep history.
