On June 20th, Mansoura University student Nayera Ashraf was murdered by a man she refused to marry. Her murderer, Mohamed Adel, was arrested and had been referred to a specialized criminal court by the Public Prosecution for first-degree murder. On June 28th, the Mansoura Criminal Court charged Adel with first-degree murder after examining the evidence. The court had referred his case to the Grand Mufti for his legitimate opinion, on the same day. Today, the Grand Mufti signed the papers for his execution.
