ScarJo & Amr Waked Team Up

The trailer for new Sci-Fi thriller, Lucy, has us on the edge of our seats as Hollywood bombshell Scarlett Johansson stars opposite Egyptian actor, Amr Waked.

In latest celeb news, Scarlett Johansson and Amr Waked will be starring in a movie together! The perennial mozza (pregnancy, no pregnancy, long hair, short hair, blond hair, red hair… you get the picture) and the Egyptian hottie, who's made his way into Hollywood films, will be joining forces for the upcoming film Lucy, where Johansson plays a drug mule, whose stomach is used as a vehicle for the stuff, and develops powers as a result of it. The movie's trailer quickly shows you that it's pretty much rehashing the tired "scientists say we only use 10% of our brains" thing, wherein the main character takes something to access the rest of it, à la Limitless. Chaos and negative ramifications ensue. Luckily, Waked isn't the typical Arab terrorist and the cause of all this chaos. No - he plays a French policeman.

Basically, when the drugs start leaking into Lucy's system, they apparently activate all the unused percentage of her brain, turning her into a superhuman specimen (no word yet on how accessing more of our brain allows you to re-grow hair, circa minute 1:43 in the video, or makes you telekinetic – see end of trailer) but hey, it's Scarlett, she looks good, she's kicking ass throughout the trailer, and Amr Waked is in it. As Egyptians, it's our national duty to watch it. The film also stars Morgan Freeman, he of the ever-soothing voice, and Analeigh Tipton, who only America's Next Top Model watchers will recognise, and is set to be released this summer. Here's our question though; Amr Waked, being an outspoken supporter of the Palestinian cause, and ScarJo, being an avid Zionist (our love for her took a serious hit after that little revelation), did they duke it out on set as well (there's a scene at the end of the trailer where they're squaring off)? We hope he gave her a piece of his mind.
