Schools to Implement New Precautions Against COVID-19

The Directorate of Education has issued instructions to schools across Egypt’s governorates to equip their facilities with an isolation room, sterilization spray, and thermal detector.

As the new academic year approaches on October 9th, a fresh series of precautionary measures have been put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in schools. The Directorate of Education has issued instructions to educational administrations across Egypt’s governorates to equip their facilities - whether it’s administrative office or a school building - with an isolation room, sterilization spray, thermal detector, disinfection tools and sterilization material.

These new precautionary measures follow the implementation of other COVID-19 restrictions on school campuses, such as requiring every student, teacher and staff member to get vaccinated against COVID-19 before entering school premises, with at least one million doses especially reserved for them.
