The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities are hoping to encourage a new generation of kids to become cultural ambassadors for Egypt's archaeological heritage.
A whole new set of educational materials on tourism and antiquities will be incorporated into the national curriculum along with archaeological activities, awareness programmes and field trips to important sites in governorates across the country. With course titles such as 'Tourism Ambassador' and ‘Know Your Country’ in the works it shouldn't be long before we have a generation of Indiana Joneses running around.
