Sabri's funeral proceedings will be held tomorrow in Sheikh Zayed.
Veteran actor Samir Sabri has passed away following his struggle with heart disease at a Cairo hotel at the age of 86. The funeral will be taking place tomorrow at Sheikh Zayed’s Police Mosque, before the burial proceedings are carried out in Sabri’s hometown of Alexandria.
Sabri was born in Alexandria in 1936 and graduated from Victoria College before relocating to Cairo as a young man to present a radio programme. Over the course of his celebrated career, Sabri took part in nearly 80 projects, working alongside some of the most iconic names in Egyptian cinema, including Abdel Halim Hafez.
