‘Wasally’ is Careem’s New Door-to-Door Pickup and Delivery Service

The ride-hailing app now offers a handy service that drops off and picks up small-to-medium sized items across Cairo.

In an age where we all have to stay the heck away from each other, Careem has launched ‘Wasally’, a new service where their drivers pick up or drop off items for users across Cairo. For now, the service is available daily between 8 AM to 5 PM and gives you the option of pre-scheduling the drop-offs or pickups. Careem also encourages users to opt for online payment as opposed to cash. You don't know where that change you're getting has been.

Items must be small enough to easily fit in the backseat or boot of a car, and any items susceptible to breaking must be wrapped in protective packaging. For those reckless souls who choose to pay by cash, the receiver will pay when the items are dropped off at their destination. Finally, any items can only go to one destination per ride - so don't send the poor guy to five different buildings to run all your errands for you. He's got a whole city he needs to serve.

Currently, the service is only available in Cairo, but will be launched in Alexandria soon. For further inquiries, you can contact Careem through their social media channels or through the app (available on the App Store and Google Play).
