World Bank Funds Industrial Development in Sohag & Qena

USD 500 million will be provided by the World Bank to improve four industrial zones in Sohag, and two in Qena.

The World Bank will provide USD 500 million to finance the development of six industrial zones in the governorates of Qena and Sohag. As part of a larger programme to achieve sustainable industries in Upper Egypt, four areas in Sohag and two in Qena will see upgrades for their basic public services and infrastructure networks, which will be adjusted to serve specialised industry needs.
