Food coma in 3... 2... 1!
Unlike most things in life, a juicy burger will never disappoint. Living in Cairo, however, we've all had our share of mediocre burgers that serve as reminders of what makes a good burger truly special. Ritz Bar at The Nile Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Cairo knows what a good burger is made of, and they’re set to share it with the world of Cairene burger-fanatics with a soon-to-be-launched special burger menu, that promises to serve authentic juicy burgers representing cooking schools of thought from across the birthplace of this beefy delight: the USA.
Said menu will offer five authentic variations to be devoured alongside the bar's renowned collection of cocktails and beverages, with every month dedicated to exploring one of the distinct regional burgers originating from different US cities.
The All-American Burger, will be served, as per tradition, in a split-top bakery-style bun, homemade burger sauce, sliced onions and bacon, topped with slices of cheddar cheese. Competing for our foodgasms is the New York Burger, made with roasted mushrooms, caramelised onions, brie, bacon, and topped with BBQ sauce, giving it the perfect balance between crunchy and moist.
Lesser-know, but no less delicious, is the Texas burger, served in toasted buns, and filled with sliced tomatoes, raw onions, pickles, and lettuce. Meanwhile, a freshly crisp chicken patty, honey-mustard, and apple coleslaw are what make the Kentucky Burger an exceptional treat. Last, but most definitely not least, is the Louisiana burger, which Ritz Bar's chefs are also making from scratch out of Cajun battered fish fillet, tartar sauce, romaine lettuce and tomato marmalade. Drooling yet?
Ritz Bar is offering all these varieties with extra special size dishes designed to complement the delicate and juicy taste of the accompanying burgers. Add that to cocktails and what is hands down the city's best Nile view, and you've got yourself a full-blown burger extravaganza.
