Pacinthe Badran’s Ramadan Collection Outdoes the Classic Kaftan

Designer Pacithe Badran releases a unique Ramadan capsule collection that’s set to be a wardrobe staple long past the festive season…

Best known for her custom-made creations, designer Pacinthe Badran first ventured into the world of pret-a-porter last summer with a colorful RTW collection that flew off the proverbial shelves. Now she’s back with a ravishing Ramadan capsule collection that does away with the cliché modern-Kaftan-vibes in favour of something a lot cooler and more contemporary. It’s stylish modest-wear you’ll want to wear all summer long.

The all-new silk satin sets feature jewel-toned Islamic prints made in-house by Badran herself. Gaping sleeves, tied waists, and flared pants draw on the old Shahrazad-esque aesthetic but feel distinctly cosmopolitan.  “The main idea behind these sets is that they are easy to wear, and are chic for daytime and nighttime events throughout the month,” Badran tells #CairoScene. “It’s designed to be effortless.”
